The story started when a calf, tied in a rope that bounded his neck. We all know that the rope function is to make the calf unable to move away. But does he now it? For a calf that born and raised in a farm, the rope is his reality. He never knew that he is locked in his tiny reality. What he see as freedom, is a lock. What he see as a lock, is a freedom.
That phenomena is unavoided for him. Even thought he knew the old farmer is bringing him to the slaughter house, he can’t do a thing. He taught that he born to be slaughtered. Like all the animal he ever know in the farm. Chickens, sheeps, cows, you name it. At least that what he taught at the moment.
While waiting the slaughters, he look at the blue sky. Suddenly his eyes locked to something in the sky. Coloured dark and winged. Flew freely. It is the first time he saw swallow and, after he look closely, there something abnormal about that bird. “The bird is untied!!” shout him. “i’m really sorry for him. He won’t live long. Who will give him food, water, or stable?”.”Oh God how i am really blessful to be live in a rope”, said him.
The old farmer realize that the calf is looking at the swallow. With nasty face he kick the calf –something that he always do- and said “what are you doing calf! Are you thinking about your destiny?”. He yell “The swallow born in this earth to be free, he proudly open his wings up and fly in the sky”.
He silence for a while. “While you here, is just a joke. Who told you to become a calf in the first place?”, close the old farmer.
Suddenly the calf realize what really happening to him all this time. He is locked in the cell of his own mind. The calf fight to make him free, but really, time is way too late. The rope is too strong to be cut. The more power he use, the stronger the rope bond his neck. While he resisting, a bright light shining in the right side of his face. A cold blade touch his fur. His mournful eyes slowly changed to empty. Eyes full of regret.
A calf always bound and slaughtered, without knowing the reason why. But whoever treasures freedom, he must learn to fly.
